Pirramimma Shiraz, McLaren Vale, 2004

90 pts from Wine Spectator! A vibrant, juicy style Shiraz that brims with red plum, cherry and raspberry flavours, picks up spicy plum notes in a long finish, with a chocolately edge, and ripe tannins. Aged in American oak.  Best from 2008-2014. Pair with beef and lamb. Pirramimma means the stars and moon, just like coco noche’s logo! Offered by the bottle $45.

Latitude 41 Sauvignon Blanc 2006

This wine is made from a selection of Nelson and Marlborough grapes.  The result is a full bodied wine that has layers of fruit flavours that are associated with the different soil types and climatic conditions in these areas.  Part of the juice was fermented and aged for two months on high spice and vanilla French oak.  The wine was not allowed to undergo malolactic fermentation. The remainder of the juice was fermented in very cool stainless steel.  A bouquet of tropical and gooseberry fruits with hints of fine oak.  On the palate a rich wine that has ripe fruit flavours of passion fruit, gooseberry and melons. A touch of oak, creaminess and complexity. Zork cork closure. Limited release. $11 glass, $34 bottle.

Latitude 41 Pinot Noir 2004

This wine is made from a selection of Nelson and Marlborough grapes. The result is a full bodied wine that has layers of fruit flavours that are associated with the different soil types and climatic conditions in these areas. A bouquet of obvious cherry fruit with slight vanilla and spicy overtones in the background. Aged in premium French oak for twelve months. On the palate a mouth filling structure with richness among flavours of berry fruit, cherries and toasty vanilla oak. Nice length and crispness. Zork cork closure. Limited release. $13 glass, $38 bottle.
